Welcome to Tanda Tula
Intimate. Wild. Authentic.

Experience nature unfolding in the Greater Kruger National Park on a modern safari. Elephant herds feeding. Hyenas denning. Ground hornbills foraging. Termites building empires.

We help protect over 55 000 hectares of land within the world-famous Greater Kruger National Park, one of the world’s finest and most extensive wildlife sanctuaries.

This lets us offer you truly exclusive experiences.

Nine hybrid canvas and glass suites open to an endlessly entertaining but incredibly peaceful bushveld setting. A secluded hide. An inviting library. An open-air bar. Places to gather. Or to be alone.

Authentic moments of connection remain the heart and soul of every guest’s experience

Big impact. Light tread. A better world.

This week’s safari highlights…

* After almost three weeks of absence, the River Pride made a reappearance; they were however missing a few members
* The next day the missing River female and her two cubs were found, much to our relief…this was short lived though, when we found her in the same place for the next few days and realised she had a severly broken leg. Time will tell the fate of her and the pride
* The Sark Breakaaways continued to remain as a strong presence, pushing more eastwards than they have for a while. This led to them catching and killing a zebra close to Tanda Tula one evening whilst Dale and Sctoch were following them
* A few days later we found them with a wildebeest kill on Nkhari
Sadly, the pride also killed one of the baby hyenas at the den, causing the clan to move densites
* Three Vuyela males spent some time in the east
* After a few weeks absence, the large pack of 22 African wild dogs returned, spending two days in the area before heading back north
* Dzinda leopardess was quite evident this week, and we saw her resting up trees every few days
The elephants were plentiful, and provided great viewing on a daily basis
