Tanda Tula’s favourite grapefruit cocktail employs Leonista to create our unique rendition of the Paloma, a well-known relative of the margarita. This pink “lion-energy” cocktail is a delightful combination of sweetness, tartness, and refreshment, suitable for any occasion.
The best part is, it’s incredibly easy to make—you won’t even need a cocktail shaker! Apart from the salt rim, it can be effortlessly stirred together directly in the glass.
- 60 ml Leonista (or your preferred tequila)
- 15 ml fresh lime juice
- 60 ml fresh grapefruit juice
- 15 ml sugar syrup
- Soda water
- Flaky sea salt and a grapefruit wedge for garnish
- Cut a small notch in the grapefruit wedge, then rub the grapefruit around the rim of the glass.
- Dip the rim into a plate of flaky sea salt, coating the edge.
- Add tequila, lime juice, grapefruit juice, and sugar syrup to the glass. Stir gently until well combined.
- Fill the glass with ice.
- Top it off with soda water.
- Garnish with a grapefruit wedge.
- Serve and enjoy!
