The summer rains bring many things to the Timbavati – lush green foliage, ripe marula fruit and hundreds of new born impalas. Most are born within a three week period over December, so now we see big herds with lots of little ones running around.
And they aren’t alone, as we are now regularly entertained by young elephants learning to use their trunks or curiously approaching our game drive vehicles.
The hyena dens close to camp are now active again too, with furry black puppies scampering up and down the termite mounds.
Here are a few photos of some of the newest arrivals around camp recently.
