Wild Dog join us for lunch
We had a wonderful surprise just before lunch yesterday when a pack of 11 wild dog managed to tackle an impala right in front of our safari camp. Some of our guests actually witnessed the kill from the comfort of their tent decks!
We quickly gathered all our guests into the vehicles and raced around to view the dogs feeding. They had almost finished by the time we arrived but we were still treated to them feeding. They were also in a very playful mood and our guests thoroughly enjoyed watching them playing around the vehicle.
They made short work of the impala using their powerful jaws.
Once they had finished up they settled down for a rest. We then made our way back to camp to enjoy lunch and keep an eye on the dogs from across the riverbed.
