DESCRIPTION & LOCATION
Tanda Tula is located in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger National Park, Limpopo. As one of South Africa’s most luxurious tented bushcamps, it offers guests an unforgettable experience in ‘Big Five’ game viewing, warm hospitality and award winning cuisine. Set on the banks of the Nharalumi riverbed, Tanda Tula is shaded by majestic trees and overlooks a watering hole that attracts abundant wildlife. Each of the 12 tents is completely private, surrounded by lush riverine bush with a deck overlooking the riverbed.

MANAGEMENT
Don and Nina Scott are the Owners of Tanda Tula Safari Camp and are permanently based at Tanda Tula. The general managers are Dale & Hayley Jackson, assisted by Richard Woodward & Krystle van Zyl, with Clenny Seoke & Thabo Phoku as Duty Managers. Dolly Mathebula manages reservations.

LANGUAGES
English, French, Portuguese, Afrikaans, Xitsonga and Dutch are all spoken at the camp. Arrangements can be made for German, Spanish and Italian speaking translators, at a fee.
TRANSPORT
Self drive: From Johannesburg 5 ½ hours
Air: SA Express to Hoedspruit – daily flights from Johannesburg, flights to and from Cape Town on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Sundays
Charters: Fedair & General Airways fly from JHB or KMIA directly into the Rock Fig airstrip

ATMOSPHERE
Gentle, relaxed atmosphere. Emphasis is on privacy and complete immersion in the bush. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and will go out of their way to make the guests stay as comfortable and memorable as possible.

FACILITIES
Thatched bar / lounge overlooking an infinity swimming pool, garden & waterhole. The main deck overlooks the riverbed and water hole. There is also a secluded bird hide at the watering hole.
CHILD POLICY
Children over 8 years are welcome. Children under 12 years pay 50% off RACK if they are sharing a tent with their parents, otherwise full rates apply. Please note that this is an adult environment, there are no fences around the camp, and there are no special facilities for children.
Please note: Large families are encouraged to hire a private game vehicle and ranger. Refer to our seasonal rates page for information and rates on private vehicles.
