The Life of Tarts

Greetings to all Tanda Tula foodies!

With today’s busy life style, few people take the time to stop and enjoy some quality time in the kitchen. With a food trend of easy quick cooking we are beginning to lose the art of wholesome tasty treats.

But fear not!  The Tanda Tula kitchen is here to make sure that the subtle art of slow baking will not be lost in the pages of history!

With these 2 recipes, slow baking is the key.

Pear Tart: The pear tart will only work properly if it is allowed to sit in a moderate oven for a long time.  This will ensure that the pears are soft and cooked and the frangipane mixture has time to sink into the pears and bind the whole tart together.  Download the recipe here:

Cheesecake: The cheesecake also needs a moderate oven otherwise the eggs and cream cheese with split and curdle resulting in a lumpy, scrambled egg mess. Download the recipe here:

So take some time out and give these a try, you will not be disappointed.
