On Friday 11 November, Tanda Tula Safari Camp welcomed the Grade R class of Southern Cross Schools in Hoedspruit. It was an exciting day for the learners, as they were first treated to a game drive through the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve where they saw wild dog, a pride of lion, leopard and elephant as well as general game.
Although many of these learners had seen such game before, they were extremely exited and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Shortly after the game drive they sat down to an educational talk on the various bones and skulls that have been collected from the bush. The talk was given by Eduard Bos, a student at Tanda Tula, and Don de Boer from SCS.
Comments Nina Scott, Managing Partner at Tanda Tula, ‘’It was an absolute pleasure to welcome the learners to our safari camp. We have a strong belief in educating children about African wildlife and responsible tourism, and it was wonderful to watch them learn something new, and have a little fun at the same time!’
