Tanda Tula helps raise funds for AIDS orphans

Tanda Tula Safari Camp recently sponsored a prize of a luxurious two night stay at the camp for two people. The prize was offered in an auction in aid of Starfish, a charity started by Anthony Farr to raise money for AIDS orphans in SA.

Read the wonderful thank you letter below:

Dear Don & Nina

We wanted to thank you both so much for the generous donation of a holiday at Tanda Tula. It generated a lot of interest at the auction on Thursday night, with many interested bidders, and it raised a significant amount of money for Starfish.

Starfish USA’s online art catalogue showcased the prizes, giving sponsors the opportunity to view the game lodge details and artwork prior to the auction. Your contact details and website were distributed to everyone on the auction preview, giving you wonderful exposure to the NYC market. The brochures that you sent over were placed on all the tables too. We hope that this generates further demand for Tanda Tula!!

The evening was a great success! The art auction, featuring 20 prominent South African artists, raised over $85,000, with all the funds raised going directly to support mentoring, after-school and home-based care programs in various villages in South Africa.

South African Consul General, Honorable George Monyemangene, and the Minister of Mineral Resources, Minister Susan Shabangu, attended the event, which was sponsored by Investec USA.

Here is the website with all the pics from the evening:

Thanks again, we really appreciate your support and miss you guys!
