We are excited to offer you the first ever interactive sightings map in the Timbavati region. To create this sightings map, Tanda Tula utilises a GPS field data collection system called a ‘Cybertracker’.
During game drives and walking safaris, our rangers enter the details of various interesting sightings into the Cybertracker, which we then upload onto the website via a programme we have specifically developed. As you will see, we record the various types of animals as well as numbers, gender and group makeup. An exciting addition to this sightings map is the inclusion of images of various sightings.
Should you have any questions regarding this sightings map, or if you have any feedback please don’t hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note: due to an ever present rhino poaching threat, we will not be including rhino sightings in any of our maps.
Please note: We are in the process of upgrading our Sightings Map and will ensure it is live again soon. Thank you for your patience.
