Healthcare

Tanda Tula Safari Camp is currently working with local Doctors (private and government) on a project called “Friends of Tintswalo Hospital”. Tintswalo hospital is a government hospital which services a community of 600 000 and only has 15 doctors and limited equipment and medical supplies. The aim is to assist the hospital with its strategic development plan in addressing health care priorities and expanding the foreign doctors / volunteer program.

In addition, Tanda Tula Safari Camp is a sponsor of the Hlokomela HIV Aids Clinic. Hlokomela is an independent NPO founded by Christine du Preez. Clinics have been established throughout the area to provide primary healthcare and HIV/Aids treatment and counselling to thousands of people, who live too far from National Hospitals and do not have the means for private healthcare.

Tanda Tula Safari Camp, in conjunction with Hlokomela, has established an HIV/Aids awareness program for all the Tanda Tula staff and their families.
