On 16 May 2012, the new Phelwana Clinic in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve was officially opened. The new clinic offers HIV testing and counselling, as well as provides general medical services to the local community.
The event, which was attended by key individuals from the area, lodge representatives and the Phelwana clinic staff, was extremely special as much work has gone into the new clinic, and it will certainly make a big difference to the local community.
Everyone was treated to a fantastic performance by local dancers, before Alois Adlkofer, who kindly made his land available for the clinic, officially cut the ribbon.
Visit www.htt.org.za for more information or if you are interested in offering your support.
Tanda Tula Safari Camp is a main sponsor of the Timbavati Phelwana Clinic, and we are all driven to ensure that the clinic has what it needs to be able to care for the local community. All our staff visit the clinic for all medical issues, as well as HIV education and counselling.
