Lazy Leopard
On our way back to bush breakfast, after a successful morning outing, we happened to find the young female leopard known as Ntombela not far from our safari camp. She appeared to be actively hunting so we decided to follow her at a distance and watch as she continued to stalk Franklin and various other birds without success. Our patience eventually paid off as she decided to take a break in a nearby Marula tree. She struck a real pose in the tree and we managed to get some fantastic photos. As time goes by, she is travelling further afield, a sure sign she is slowly making the transition from juvenile to adult. These are very exciting times for her and we will be sure to keep you updated on her progress.
