As I write, the soft pitter-patter of rain can be heard outside. So far we have had just over 270mm of rain and, since it has been good soaking rain, the trees and grass have responded well. Some grass stands almost head high and we’ve had to cut back some around the pathways leading to the tents, as you could easily miss a buffalo or hippo in the tall grass. The colours and contrasts are really something to see at this time of the year – wild flowers, birds and animals fill the frame, with a wonderful green backdrop to complete the picture. Continue
