The aircraft used is the Beechcraft King Air B200, a pressurised twin-turbine engine aircraft seating a maximum of 11 passengers, and is the safest aircraft in its category. With luggage, the aircraft can comfortably seat eight passengers and features air-conditioning, a toilet and VIP seating configuration. The aircraft, based in Cape Town, can be positioned anywhere in South Africa and is piloted by an expert charter pilot with 28 years experience.
In addition, the aircraft can climb to an altitude of 28000 feet, providing guests with a smooth flight, and is able to land on a 1000m unpaved runway, which most game lodges can accommodate. Keeping the aircraft for the duration of the safari and using it to fly from camp to camp and on to other destinations is the most convenient and cost effective way of utilising it.
