Wild Dogs at our Damn

Wild Dogs at our Damn

The waterhole in front of Tanda Tula is always a spot where lots of action takes place - there is always something happening around this oasis. Some days it may be some unique bird sightings, or a wonderful large herd of elephants, but it is not every day that we actually see the more infrequent visitors such as leopard or lions.

So it was absolutely stunning to find this pack of wild dogs coming to quench their thirst right at camp damn. These dogs had obviously had a successful morning hunt and before finding a cool spot to settle for the rest of the day they came to drink, much to our surprise and delight. No sooner had all the dogs drunk sufficiently than they ran off into the bush to find a shaded area to lie up until that evening’s hunt.
