Where is the rain?

Tanda Tula awoke this morning to the distant rumbling of thunder. Promises promises.

It has been weeks that the Timbavati has been without rain in this dreadfully hot summer we are experiencing. The bush is so incredibly dry that none of our guests can believe it is supposedly our rainy season! The temperatures keep soaring and the rain just does not come, the pans are all drying up and the animals are desperate for water.

Unfortunately nature protects the population and not the individual, Mother nature has her own way of sorting things out. And as we all know Africa is a continent of extremes: drought follows flood, so after a couple of years of heavy and good rain it is probably time to face the hard truth about the dry period we are now going through.
