There's a leopard on my stoep!

At times we are reminded that our camp is truly in the heart of the Timbavati.

A recent morning at Tanda Tula started with a bang, of a different kind! The beautiful leopard known as Rockfig Female caught a young bushbuck right inside our camp.

It was in such close proximity that the staff actually had to move the carcass as it was right on the pathway to one of the guide’s houses. Later that same afternoon she returned to reclaim her prize, moving the carcass from where it had been positioned to a more appropriate spot. With such incredible ease and grace she hoisted the carcass up a large tree far from other predator’s reach. The strength and agility of these animals is always something to behold.

A great start to the week!
