The Morning School Run

Guests staying at our safari camp in the middle of the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve are often fascinated about how the staff go about their usual day-to-day life in such an exciting and unusual environment.

Life in the Timbavati has many thrills and frustrations as does life outside of the reserve, but the excitement is sometimes just a little more on the wild side. This week alone has seen the usual school lift into Hoedspruit for the Jackson family as extremely eventful.

There have been some amazingly close up elephant sightings and then they stumbled upon The Rock Fig female casually sitting by the road side. For these kids it does not matter that you live amongst the animals finding them is still always thrilling and always adds a level of excitement to the start of their day.

Hayley and Dale believe it is really important to instil in their boys the importance of the kind of life they lead and to never take their environment for granted.
