A lifesaver

With so many waterholes in the Timbavati drying up, the camp pan at Tanda Tula Camp has become an extremely popular spot for all the animals to come quench their thirst.

Big herds of buffalo and Elephants have been daily visitors as well as the usual nyala, impala and our resident warthogs!

Although they have not been spotted there are definitely night visitors as well, such as hyena, leopard and other nocturnal animals. We pump water into this small waterhole in order to help the animals in this dry spell - with the minimal amount of rain we have experienced it has been a real lifesaver for them.
