I was fortunate enough to get out on drive last week and was spoilt with some wonderful sightings.
A large pack of wild dog has been working its way through the resident impala population! This pack of 29 dogs has been incredibly efficient in tackling a couple of impala on a daily basis and they have provided our guests with some magnificent times over the last couple weeks.
Then leopard viewing has also been fantastic. The Rockfig female gifted us a great opportunity to photograph her in a large Marula tree with some wonderful late afternoon light. She really treated us as she continued moving around the tree and calling at the same time!
General game has also been excellent with numerous small herds of wildebeest and zebra being seen throughout the traversing area. A large herd of buffalo descended on a nearby dam to quench their thirst only to find Harry the resident hippo firmly set in the middle of the dam. Harry didn’t appreciate the buffalo taking up residence in his dam but was not giving way!! Hopefully the good summer viewing continues!
Here are a few pics to enjoy.
