A thank you letter from Starfish Greathearts Foundation USA

On behalf of Starfish Greathearts Foundation USA, I would like to thank you for generous support of our New York Dinner of Hope through donating a 2 night stay at Tanda Tula Safari Camp. Not only were we able to show our guests the beauty that South Africa has to offer, but more importantly, your trip raised $3,000 for Starfish. These funds will go directly to support mentoring, after-school and home-based care programs in various villages in South Africa and will truly make a difference. The name of the person who got the trip is Ms. Heather Kirby.
Starfish was formed in response to the unfolding tragedy of children orphaned or left vulnerable by the HIV/AIDS pandemic in South Africa. There are currently over 1.8 million orphaned children in South Africa, of which 78% are orphaned as a result of AIDS. While these statistics are devastating, there is hope – with your help, these children can grow up, achieve their dreams, and become contributing members of society.
With your help, Starfish is currently supporting over 30,000 children made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS in South Africa. Your donation will ensure that these children receive uniforms, school supplies, and negotiation for relief from school fees, after-school care and community food gardens.
